US markets closed higher on Friday

US markets closed higher in volatile trading on Friday, following the release of February's jobs report, which indicated that 151,000 jobs were created during the month.

European markets dipped, despite the reduction of all the ECB's benchmark rates and $500 million German stimulus plan.

Asia-Pacific markets also tumbled after the yield on Japanese 30-year bonds almost jumped levels reached during the Great Recession of 2008.

The lack lustre growth in Chinese exports by only 2.3% in February, when compared with January, also contributed to the decline.
