Chairman of the Wisynco Group, William Mahfood, says the company recently broke into the Canadian beverage market with its Boom Energy and Bigga Soft Drink in conjunction with the GraceKennedy Group.
Speaking in an interview on Real Business on Wednesday, Mr. Mahfood said other products such as its Legend Beer, M-POWA Malt and its Mamba Premium Stout will now flow into that market, following the recent opening of its US$35 million, state-of–the-art brewery.
Mr. Mahfood indicated that the new plant will lead to an increase in the company's production capacity from 125,000 square feet to 325,000 square feet.
He pointed out that the new plant will allow the company to produce some 30,000 cans of beverages per hour or 6.5 million cases per annum.
Mr. Mahfood said it is now easier to export using cans rather than bottles because cans have a longer shelf life.
