Yellowman
A documentary on Jamaican dancehall music, called “Hit me with music” will be featured at the annual WeBeat Festival, in Trinidad and Tobago June 2-7.
“Hit me with music” explores various facets of dancehall culture, including feuds between leading artistes, skin bleaching, and the controversial Daggering dance.
Dancehall artistes such as Yellowman and the late dancer Bogle, are in the film, as well as Elephant Man, Mavado and Vybz Kartel.
Hit me with music has been screened in North America and Europe film festivals to good respons.
