Jay-Z wanted Kartel on Blueprint 3

US rapper Jay-Z has admitted that he wanted dancehall star Vybz Kartel on his last album but couldn’t make it work.

In an interview recently, Jay-Z admitted that he had Kartel in the studio during the recording of his last album Blueprint 3 but failed to get a song that worked.

They tried three songs and spent the entire day trying to work out which track would have sounded best.

During the interview Jay-Z described Vybz Kartel as Jamaica's Eminem.
