Universally acclaimed supermodel and former talk show host, Tyra Banks has added some island flavor to her ongoing reality series as she appeared in Jamaica last week to film footage for America's Next Top Model (ANTM).
Organizers of the fashion-themed reality show chose Kingston as the international destination where contestants of America's Next Top Model Cycle 19: College Edition will gather later this season. As a result, Tyra Banks flew into Jamaica last week where she filmed material for the series, which has been in existence since 2003.
Banks later tweeted pictures of herself at a local beach while sporting dreadlocks and Rastafarian clothing alongside new ANTM host, Robert Evans.
The new season of America's Next Top Model features 13 college students competing for a career-launching prize package which includes a Nylon Magazine fashion spread, a contract with LA/NY models, being named the face of the Dream Come True perfume line as well as US$100,000 in cash.
For the first time, viewers of ANTM will have the chance to decide which models advance or get sent home through online voting. Judges of the show will then review the viewer feedback, which will aid their decision making regarding which models stay or leave throughout the series.
