By Prince Moore

A 48-hour curfew is now in effect in the Andrews Pen area along Barbican Road following a deadly attack on Thursday.

The curfew started 6 p.m. Thursday evening.

Three people were shot, two fatally, by armed men sometime after 2 o'clock, near Grants Pen.

The victims are a woman, identified as Ashley Makerre, as well as an unidentified man.

Deputy Superintendent Randy Sweeney, commander for the area, says the security measure was implemented to prevent a possible reprisal.
