Alexander Williams, a former Senator, will be the next Jamaican High Commissioner to London.
Mr Williams is an attorney, whose last public role was that of Chairman of the Jamaica Anti Doping Commission
It's not known when he will take up the new position.
Jamaica's last High Commissioner, George Ramocan, demitted office in September last year, having served for five years.
