All major crimes down by 22 per cent

The police are reporting a reduction in all categories of Major Crimes for the first quarter of this year compared with the similar period for 2022.

General Anderson says there have been changes in the trend relating to the motive for murders being reported.

And General Anderson says the police have been making improvements in tackling organised crime.

He says with support from the new firearms legislation and new investigative tactics, the police have charged over thirty gangsters and cases are before the courts.
