There has been another tragic motor vehicle crash in Westmoreland involving an untethered animal.
Christopher Samuels, 22, died this morning after a cow strayed into the path of the vehicle in which he was a passenger.
Two other people have been hospitalised after sustaining injuries in the mishap along the Bay main road in Little London, Westmoreland.
It's reported that sometime after 2 a.m., Samuels was a passenger in a Toyota Corolla Axio motor car heading towards Negril with two other people when, on reaching a section of the roadway, a cow walked into the path of the vehicle, causing a collision.
The driver lost control of the vehicle which crashed into a tree.
All three sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital where Samuels was pronounced dead.
Today's tragedy comes three days after Constable Tajay Ebanks lost his life after a cow strayed into the path of his motorcycle in Little London.
Residents in Little London have sent out an appeal for cattle farmers to secure their animals following three crashes, one of them fatal on the New Hope main road.
The crashes occurred in the space of a week and involved a car and two motorcycles.
