Jockey Calvin Bailey suspended for 12 race days

Jockey Calvin Bailey has been suspended for 12 race days and fined $10,000 by the operations stewards of the Jamaica Racing Commission (JRC) for his conduct a week ago, as well as an incident of interference and intimidation on the race day of April 27.

Bailey's initial hearing had been set for June 10, but had to be rescheduled to June 17, as the stewards could not proceed due to his attire and conduct which was deemed ungentlemanly. His suspension commences on Saturday.
