Concerned citizens of Antigua and Barbuda have appealed to the government to move with urgency to tackle the recent spate of violent crime.
One social commentator says residents are living in fear and called for the police to become more proactive.
Cabinet has stated that the police would initiate every possible strategy to seize illegal firearms and keep innocent citizens safe.
But many have described this pronouncement as hollow given the continued rise in criminal activity in the twin island state.
