April 2025 trial date set for murder accused Constable Noel Maitland

Constable Noel Maitland is to stand trial next year for the murder of his girlfriend, social media influencer Donna-Lee Donaldson.
 
The trial, expected last eight weeks is scheduled to begin on April 7, 2025.
 
Mr. Maitland is to be tried by a panel of seven jurors in the Home Circuit Court.
 
The date was set Wednesday morning when he appeared in court via Zoom.
 
A trial readiness hearing date was also set for January 24, 2025.
 
In the meantime, the prosecution is to hand over video footage to Mr. Maitland's legal team on or before July 1, 2024.
 
Mr. Maitland was further remanded.
 
He is charged with murder and preventing the lawful burial of a corpse.
 
Twenty-four-year-old social media influencer, Donna-Lee Donaldson, went missing on July 13, 2022, after she was last seen at Constable Maitland's home two days earlier.
