A team from the Portmore Municipal Council in St. Catherine is leading an operation to remove a cell tower which was discovered hidden in an unfinished two storey house in Cumberland Mews.
It's understood that the Council served notices in February and April on the occupant of the house for carrying out development without a building or planning permission.
The notices stated that he was illegally constructing a cellular/roof antenna.
However, the man ignored the notices which prompted the operation.
Members of the Council, the police and the Jamaica Public Service Company visited the house where they found the structure hidden under a water tank.
