Cabinet has approved the merger of the Land Administration and Management Programme (LAMP) and the National Land Agency (NLA).
The merger is in keeping with recommendations under the Public Sector Rationalisation Plan.
Cabinet has also approved the extension of the tenure of LAMP beyond April this year for the period necessary to effect the merger.
LAMP is a government initiative aimed at helping owners of land obtain Certificates of Title and to update the information on existing titles.
