Canada is seeking to strengthen relations with the Caribbean Community.
In an effort to explore opportunities and improve partnerships, the Canadian Minister of International Development, Harjit Sajjan, made recent visits to Caribbean countries.
The emphasis was placed on economic recovery for Barbados, while the discussion was centered around justice, human rights, gender equality, and health for Jamaica.
Mr Sajjan stated that a significant outcome of his trip was the opportunity to learn about the vision of the countries through meetings with government representatives.
