The police are probing the death of a child from suspected food poisoning in St. Ann.
The deceased has been identified as 10-year-old Richard Immanuel of Top Bay, Corner Street in Discovery Bay.
An eight-year-old child has been admitted in serious condition.
Investigators reported that the children were among persons who consumed a meal while working on a church building project in their community on Saturday.
Persons started experiencing severe diarrhoea and had to seek medical attention.
Richard died on Monday.
The vendor who prepared the meal has been questioned by detectives.
They have also collected samples from her establishment.
