The National Task Force Against Trafficking in Persons is turning the spotlight on children and the issues they face for this year's observance of Trafficking in Persons Week.
Today (Tuesday) is being observed globally as World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.
Coordinator of the national task force, Audrey Budhi, says countries around the world are working to ensure that no child is left behind in the fight against human trafficking.
She pointed out that sensitisation sessions will be held at the airports in Kingston and Montego Bay to educate persons about trafficking in persons.
The NATFATIP was established in 2005 as a multi-agency approach by the Government of Jamaica to strengthen the country's legislative, institutional and operational capacity to combat trafficking in persons.
