The report of the Constitutional Reform Committee was tabled before the House of Representatives on Tuesday.
The document, which has sparked much controversy, was tabled in the form of a green paper by Minister of Legal and Constitutional Affairs, Marlene Malahoo Forte.
Cabinet met on Monday with members of the Committee to discuss the report containing the recommendations from the 15-member body.
In a statement Tuesday, Prime Minister Andrew Holness expressed his gratitude for the Committee's contributions and highlighted the significance of this milestone.
He said the government will continue working to build consensus on the contentious issues.
He added that despite the ongoing political challenges, his administration remains steadfast in its commitment to achieving consensus on the first phase of reform to replace the British monarch as head of state with a Jamaican President.
In the meantime, Minister Malahoo Forte said in the coming weeks, the Ministry will be launching a public education campaign to inform the Jamaican people about the committee's recommendations.
