Delroy Thompson, 28, who was arrested and charged for
last month's murder of a woman and her three grandchildren at their home in St. Thomas, was remanded
when he appeared in court on Thursday.
Mr. Thompson of Land Top in Port Morant has been charged with four counts of murder, arson, shooting with intent and burglary and is to reappear in court on March 25.
The police had reported that about 11 pm on January 25, Angela Lynch, her common-law husband and the three children went to bed and shortly after, fire was seen coming from a section of the house.
Ms. Lynch's common-law husband told investigators that a man armed with a gun kicked in a side door and opened fire on them before escaping.
The fire brigade was summoned and one unit from the Morant Bay Fire Department carried out cooling down operations.
The charred remains of the four were later found among the rubble.
