Olympian Christopher Taylor is down to compete for the first time in over 2 years at the JAAA World Athletics Championships prep meet one, set for Saturday at the National Stadium.
The World Championship mile relay silver medallist who is at Titans Track Club, is making his return to the sport after serving a two and half year suspension for an anti-doping rule violation.
He is listed among 84 competitors for the men's 400 metre timed final. Other notable names down to compete are Olympic bronze medalist Rasheed Broadbell, Candice McLeod, Roneisha McGregor, Jonielle Smith and Demish Gay.
A cash prize of $50,000 will be awarded to the winners of six events: men's and women's 100 metres, the men's 110 metre hurdles, women's 400 metres, men's discus and women's shot put.
However, winners must attain a minimum performance standard to secure the funds. The meet gets underway at 2:00 pm.
