The Jamaican police have again imposed curfews on a number of communities in Kingston and St. Andrew, as well as sections of neighbouring St. Catherine and the western parishes of St. James, and Westmoreland.
The curfews, which began on Sunday, will be in effect until 6pm Monday.
During the hours of the curfews, all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorized in writing.
In St. Catherine, sections of Central village, Waterford, Naggohead, and Park Heights are under curfew.The town centre in Spanish Town, as well as St. Johns Road, Job Lane, Lakes Pen, and Lauriston are also covered by the curfew order.
In Kingston and St. Andrew, Dunkirk and Franklyn Town, as well as Grants Pen, Cassava Piece, Castle Heights and Donmair Commons are under the curfew.
In St. James the communities of Salt Spring, Rose Heights, Flanker and Granville, are among the places covered by the curfew.
And in Hanover, sections of Lucea, as well as Haddington and Lookout Point have also been placed under curfew.
Savanna-la-Mar and Grange Hill are among areas in Westmoreland under similar restrictions.
