Curfew remains in effect in St Catherine North police division

Several sections of the St. Catherine North police division have been placed under a curfew until 6 this evening.
The curfews have been in effect since last night.
 
The curfew has been imposed in the Railway/Dallas lane area including  north along Burke Road from the intersection of Salt Pond Road to the  intersection of lower Oxford Road,   south along the Spanish Town Bypass from the intersection of Salt Pond road  to the intersection of Oxford road east along Salt Pond Road from the intersection of Burke road to the  intersection of the Spanish Town Bypass.
     
In Manchester Lane a curfew is in effect  north along Williams Street between Cumberland Road and Prince Avenue, south along Manchester Street between Prince Avenue and Cumberland road  and     east along Cumberland Road between Manchester Street and Williams  Street and west along Prince Avenue between Williams Street and Manchester Street   
    
On Jones Avenue restrictions are in effect north along Greendale main road from the intersection of Greendale main  road and Manley Boulevard to Dempshire Pen   south along the Spanish Town Bypass from intersection with Manley  Boulevard to an imaginary line from Dempshire Pen.
 
 In addition to this, the curfew is in effect east along Manley Boulevard from the intersection with Greendale Main  Road to the Spanish Town Bypass and   west along an imaginary line from Dempshire Pen main road from the  intersection of Greendale and Dempshire Pen to the Spanish Town  Bypass .
    
 Meanwhile in Rivoili, a  curfew is in effect north along Monk Street from St. Jago High School to Leach Avenue  and  south  along Barrett Street between Red Church Street and Rio Cobre River  bank and  EAST along an imaginary line along the Rio Cobre River bank between St. Jago High School and Barrett Street.
It also extends west - Along Red Church Street between Leach Avenue and Barrett Street.
       
During the hours of the curfew all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorized in writing by the member of the security forces who is in charge of enforcing the curfew.
                                                                        
 Meanwhile, several persons including teenagers were picked up during a police operation at a popular club in a section of Portmore, St. Catherine this morning.
     
RJR News has been informed that the raid which took place at 4 o'clock in the section of the municipality commonly known as Back Road, resulted in some 90 adults and 22 teenagers being detained.
     
The teens were taken to the Portmore Police station and their parents  were called in and warned that their children were in breach of the Child Care and Protection Act.
    
 The adults have been taken to a station in Kingston where they are being processed.
