Death toll hits 65 after major explosion at Iran's largest port

The death toll from a major explosion in Iran's most powerful container port rose to at least 65 with over 1,200 injured.

Firefighters are battling a blaze that Iranian officials said has now been under control for 48 hours.

Saturday's blast took place in a section of the port in Iran's biggest container hub.

Efforts to put out the ensuing blaze have continued with sporadic fires breaking out due to wind and flammable goods in the container, some releasing toxic emissions in the area.
