Dominica's former foreign affairs minister, Dr Kenneth Darroux has been released on bail after he appeared before a city magistrate on two charges under the Firearms Act.
Mr Darroux who served in the last Roosevelt Skerrit administration prior to the December 2022 general election, appeared in court yesterday.
He is expected to return today, where the charges will be read out in open court.
It was reported that the former legislator ordered gun accessories without first obtaining a licence, as is required under the Firearms Act.
The state is being represented by the Director of Public Prosecutions, Sherma Dalrymple.
