DPP to rule whether cop be charged for murder in Clarendon

By Clinton McGregor

Radio Jamaica News has been informed that the Director of Public Prosecutions will be asked to rule whether charges should be laid against a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force for the murder of a man in Clarendon, last month.

The policeman as well as his girlfriend and another person were taken into custody last week in connection with the incident.

The victim, Danny Lowe, was killed on December 27, near Longville Park Boulevard.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force had reported that the police constable was also under investigation for possible breaches of the Firearms Act after detectives seized more than 300 rounds of ammunition in the probe.
