The Ministry of Education will on Monday award a contract valued at $23.3 million for the renovation of facilities at the Bryce Primary School in Manchester.
Termites have infested the building rendering it unsafe.
Some 300 students were relocated to a nearby church at the start of the academic year.
A statement from the Ministry of Education says the projected completion date for the renovation is January 31 next year.
A classroom block, which will comprise office and sanitary facilities, will also be constructed.
On Monday, the Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA), toured the school and called for swift action from the Education Ministry to ensure that urgent repairs are carried out.
