The police are probing the murder of two children in Swamp district, Moneague, St. Ann on Tuesday evening.
The father of the children is under investigation and has been taken into custody.
Residents of Swamp district are trying to come to grips with a tragic event which resulted in the death of the two boys, aged one and three, in their community.
They were killed sometime Tuesday night after being left with their father.
Police found the bodies of the children and bushes on Wednesday morning. The bodies had stab wounds.
Acting senior superintendent Rohan Elliott, head of the St. Ann Police, said the mother of the boys went to the Moneague station on Tuesday evening, some minutes to 8 p.m., to report that the father was attacking the children with a pair of scissors after he consumed a pot of ganja tea.
He said when the police arrived they "observed blood in a room and they observed a young man who, it is alleged, would have stabbed two minors, a one-year-old male child by the name of Amir Saunders and a three-year-old male child by the name of Shamir Henry."
The grandaunt of the children's father said the incident has left her in shock because the young man she knew did not smoke.

So it surprise me now fi come a hear seh dem find ganja tea and him drink ganja tea, caw him nuh smoke suh him wouldn't use that. Him love di baby.
