A Florida woman will spend at least the next two decades behind bars for the murder of her Jamaican husband over infidelity issues in August last year.
According to the plea agreement, 46-year-old Denise Nicole Malcolm pleaded guilty last week to one count of murder in the second degree with a firearm.
She was subsequently sentenced to spend 21 years in prison with 285 days credited for time spent.
Malcolm must also pay $23,500 in restitution and additional restitution to her children's guardian - an amount yet to be determined.
The victim, 52-year-old Rohan Malcolm, a former employee of the Jamaica Observer, was shot several times at the couple's home in Northwest 43rd Street in Coral Springs, Florida on August 31 last year.
