More than 200 Fly Jamaica passengers have reportedly been stranded in New York since Wednesday, due to what the airline says is a setback with flight operations.

In a release issued on Wednesday, Fly Jamaica said it is working to rectify a landing rights issue in New York.
RJR News spoke with a passenger who has been waiting at the John F. Kennedy International Airport for his flight.

“Half the people have been waiting since yesterday and we haven’t gotten any word from Fly Jamaica,….from early morning, one or two people from Fly Jamaica came. They didn’t give details..” said Andrew Ferguson a Fly Jamaica passenger.

Fly Jamaica says it is in talks with the authorities and is making every effort to resolve the situation.
It says passengers should contact the airline prior to departure.
The Fly Jamaica passengers say they will remain at the airport until the airline addresses the situation.
