The four men charged following the seizure of ammunition during a spot check in Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth on January 29 were remanded Wednesday when they appeared in the St. Elizabeth Parish Court.
They are 27-year-old chef Horatio Thompson, 24-year-old Extor Beason, and Chandu Williams, all of Leith Hall in St. Thomas, and Rento Gregory, of Denham Town, Kingston 14.
They are charged with unauthorised possession of ammunition.
The court was told that Mr. Beason had been out on bail facing a charge of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
It was also revealed that Mr. Williams is facing lottery scamming charges in St. Elizabeth.
Mr. Thompson, the driver of the motor car, was also charged with having no driver's licence and no insurance coverage, and was fined $15,000.
All four are to return to court on February 24.
The men were charged after four live nine millimetre cartridges were found in a brown bag in the motor vehicle in which they were travelling on January 29.
