Portmore United's return to the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup after five years, ended on a losing note. The Jamaica Premier League (JPL) champions were beaten 2-1 by Salcedo FC of Haiti in their opening Group "B" game at the Haisley Crawford Stadium on Tuesday.
Former champions Cavalier will be in action on Wednesday when they play away to Cibao FC also in Group "B" at the Cibao Stadium starting at 7:00 pm Jamaica time. Cavalier won the title in 2024 and were runners-up in 2023.
Only the top two teams from the group will advance to the semi-finals. The two finalists and the third-placed team will qualify for the CONCACAF Champions Cup, with the champions receiving a bye to the round of 16.
