President Jovenel Moise was kidnapped and murdered on July 7, 2021
Four suspects, including the South Florida doctor initially arrested in Haiti, connected to the assassination of former President Jovenel Moïse were transferred from Haiti to Miami and charged with federal conspiracy yesterday.
The men are scheduled to make their first federal court appearances this afternoon.
The group of three Haitian-Americans and one Colombian is accused of conspiring to kidnap and murder Moïse on July 7, 2021, and knowingly providing material support and resources that resulted in his death.
With the arrests, the US has now charged seven people for their alleged roles in the assassination plot.
