Grenada reassures UK travel partners it's open for business despite Hurricane Beryl impact

Grenada has sought to reassure its travel partners in the United Kingdom that the country is still open for business as it recovers from the passage of Hurricane Beryl.

A two-member team from the Grenada Tourism Authority visited the UK to update partners on the rebuilding efforts on the mainland and in the sister islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

The United Kingdom is one of Grenada's major source markets, which showed strong growth of a 30 percent increase in visitor arrivals to the island in the first half of this year.

The tourism authority is confident that the deceleration of growth in this quarter attributed to the hurricane will change in the short to medium term.
