The special prosecutor in the case against those accused of attempting to adjust the 2020 General and Regional Elections in Guyana, says the matter has been adjourned to October 25.
A determination is to be made on whether a special magistrate or court will be appointed to adjudicate the matter.
King Counsel, Darshan Ramdhani, said the magnitude of the case at hand will consume considerable time and court resources.
The prosecution is alleging that the nine defendants, including a former government minister, conspired during the elections to defraud the electors of Guyana by declaring a false account of votes cast.
