Guyana to benefit from Cuban agricultural expertise

The agricultural industry in Guyana will soon be receiving technical assistance from its counterparts in Cuba following the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding over the weekend.

The MoU provides a framework for cooperation in the areas of agriculture and vegetable products, livestock and animal products, beekeeping, forestry, and other areas.

Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Madanlall Ramraj, said the move will help Guyana meet the 25 by 2025 initiative by increasing its honey production so that it can become an exporter of honey in CARICOM.
