The head of the Transitional President Council in Haiti, Edgard Leblanc Fils, says he expects presidential and legislative elections to be held in the country by the end of 2025.
Speaking at the CARICOM Summit news conference, Mr Leblanc Fils thanked the regional countries for their roles in trying to bring about stability in his homeland.
He says life is slowly returning to normal, adding that the national police, along with the multi-national force led by Kenya, have been conducting operations in the metropolitan areas.
Mr Leblanc Fils says the operations have allowed the authorities to regain control of the main hospital.
