Head of TAJ given advisory role on tax matters

Commissioner-General of Tax Administration Jamaica, TAJ, Viralee Latibeaudiere has reportedly been given an advisory role on tax matters .

RJR News understands she is now based at the Ministry of  Finance and Planning Heroes Circle Office in Kingston .

Mrs. Latibeaudiere is said to still holds the title of Commissioner-General of the TAJ.

A senior officer at the TAJ is reportedly overseeing day to day operations at the agency.

Mrs. Latibeaudiere was appointed the first head of  the TAJ which was formed in May last year following the merger of  the Inland Revenue Department, Taxpayer Audit and Assessment Department and Tax Administration Services Department. 

Prior to her appointment she was Director General for Tax Administration.
