The Director of Corruption Prevention at the Integrity Commission Ryan Evans says he is ready to move forward with the probe into last year's shooting incident.
Deputy Commissioner in charge of crime, Fitz Bailey, during a press conference on Tuesday, said Mr. Evans has not been cooperating with the police in the investigation.
Mr. Evans was attacked and shot in the car park of the agency in New Kingston on September 21, when he arrived for work.
His attackers also robbed him of a suitcase containing cash.
Speaking Tuesday on Radio Jamaica's Beyond the Headlines, Mr. Evans said he has been traumatised by the event.
"In February the police made contact with me, and I went into the police station and actually gave a statement. So I actually went through point-by-point and prepared a written statement. Now, I didn't sign the statement at the time because I am still traumatised by the event and I wanted time to peruse the matter."
Lamenting the trauma he has endured, Mr. Evans said he is reminded of the shooting every time he walks by the area of the compound the incident took place.
However, the Integrity Commission director said he is now ready to proceed, and will reach out to the police to help move the investigation along.
