ICE officers stuck in Djibouti shipping container with deported migrants

Nearly a dozen immigration officers and eight deportees are stuck and ill inside a metal shipping container in hot Djibouti, facing risks like malaria and nearby rocket attacks from Yemen.

This follows a federal judge in Boston halting an ICE deportation flight carrying immigrants from several countries to South Sudan, ruling it illegal to send immigrants to non-citizen countries without humanitarian screenings.

Instead of returning them to the US, the Trump administration officials moved them to Djibouti where the immigrants have been held in a converted shipping container on a US naval base under harsh conditions.
