Jamaica is still considering what level of monetary support it will provide to St. Vincent & The Grenadines which has been devastated by eruptions from the La Soufriere volcano on the main island of St. Vincent.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness told the House of Representatives on Tuesday that the Jamaica Defence Force's Disaster Assistance Relief  Team (DART) and the Office of  Disaster Preparedness & Emergency Management are ready to help.

A bank account has also been set up to accept donations from Jamaicans, even as the government considers making its own monetary donation.

“The Government of Jamaica will be considering what cash support we can give, but we’ll be giving supplies to them as well,” he said.

The account number for Jamaicans to make donations to the St. Vincent & The Grenadines relief effort is 212387304 (NCB Oxford Place).
