Jamaia's Ministry of Tourism is monitoring the cancellation of flights out of the US and Canada due to a winter storm that has been sweeping across North America.
Flights from those countries to Jamaica that were scheduled for today and Sunday will likely be affected by cancellations.
But late Friday, Delano Seiveright, Senior Strategist in the Ministry of Tourism, told Radio Jamaica News that the reports have mostly been about delayed flights to Jamaica, instead of cancellations.
More than 200 million people in the US and Canada are under weather warnings or advisories while 1.5 million are without power as high winds cause blackouts.
Forecasters have said temperatures could plunge as low as minus 57 degrees in some parts of the country.
Experts warn this could lead to frostbite within five to 10 minutes.
