Teachers from across Jamaica are being hailed for their dedication to the education sector, despite the challenges being faced.
In his Teacher's Day message, Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA) President Leighton Johnson said these issues must be addressed urgently.
Mr. Johnson said the JTA will continue to work tirelessly to improve the conditions of work.
"The Jamaica Teachers' Association will continue to advocate for improved salaries, benefits, and conditions of service. We recognise the importance of fair compensation and conducive work environments in ensuring the continued excellence of our education system, a system that is being held together by you, our dedicated teachers," he declared.
