Mount Pleasant FA clipped Montego Bay United 1-0, while Cavalier and Arnett Gardens ended 1-1 in their first leg semi-final matches in the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League on Thursday night at the Montego Bay Sports Complex. Earlier, defending champions Cavalier FC and Arnett Gardens played to a 1-1 draw in the opening game of the double header.
Jerome McLeary scored in the 26th minute to give Cavalier the lead. However, Arnett Gardens fought back to level through Warner Brown in the 81st minute for his 22nd goal of the season to leave the tie even going into the second leg.
The return games will be played at Sabina Park on Sunday with Mount Pleasant FA facing off with Montego Bay United at 6:00 pm, while Arnett Gardens and Cavalier do battle at 9:00.
