Latto’s ‘Big Energy’ surpasses Doja Cat's Need To Know as the longest-charting solo female rap song on Billboard’s Hot 100

Atlanta rapper Latto has hit a musical milestone as her breakthrough single Big Energy has become the longest-charting rap song by a solo female artiste on Billboard's Hot 100 history.

Big Energy stayed on the charts for 49 weeks, surpassing Doja Cat's single Need To Know.

The single, which was released in 2021, is featured on her sophomore album 777. 

Big Energy received a major boost following a remix by Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled in March.

The song samples Tom Tom Club's 1981 single, Genius Of Love, which is also sampled in Carey's 1995 single, Fantasy.
