The Port Maria Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the shooting death of a 28-year-old man Saturday night at Broad Villa, Fort Stewart, Enfield, St. Mary.
He has been identified as Akeem Rowe, a farmer of Fort Stewart.
It is reported that about 9:30, Rowe was among a group of men playing dominoes at a bar when a man approached, brandished a handgun and fired multiple shots at Rowe, hitting him several times all over his body.
The gunman then fled the scene.
Rowe was rushed to Annotto Bay Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Eight 9 millimetre spent casings and one expended bullet were retrieved at the scene.
