Manchester Health Department warns against tampering with food handler's permits

The Manchester Health Department is warning persons to desist from tampering with food handler's permits issued to them.

The Department has seen an increase in cases of persons tampering with the permits in order to avoid the renewal process and the associated costs.

It says the food handlers permit is a legal document and if persons are caught tampering with it, they will be subjected to legal recourse.

This could result in a fine not exceeding $1 million or 12 months imprisonment.
