By Clinton McGregor

The St. James police have launched a manhunt for a group of men who abducted and raped a 14-year-old girl in the parish on Tuesday.

It's reported that about 8 a.m., the child was walking in the Moy Hall community on her way to school when a white Toyota Mark X motor car with three men aboard stopped at her feet.

One of the men then pulled the child inside the vehicle which sped off.

She was taken to an abandoned concrete house where she was sexually assaulted.

The child eventually escaped and ran to a nearby house where she was assisted by residents of the Judge Hill community who called the police.
