The Met Service has discontinued the Tropical Storm Watch that had been issued Jamaica.
It says this is because the chance of tropical cyclone development around the island has been significantly reduced.
But the Met Service says a Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for low lying and flood prone areas of Westmoreland, St. Elizabeth, Manchester, Clarendon, St. Catherine, Kingston, St. Andrew, St. Thomas, Portland and St. Mary.
In its latest bulletin, the Met Service said the poorly organised weather system will continue to produce significant rainfall and flooding is likely to continue due to soil saturation. This, it said, could result in landslides in some areas mainly over southern and eastern parishes.
All small craft operators including fishers from the cays and banks are advised to remain in safe harbour until wind and sea conditions have returned to normal.
