Mikael Phillips, Member of Parliament for Manchester North Western, has declared that he will vigorously defend his motion in the House of Representatives seeking sanctions against Everald Warmington for his "Jezebel" comment in Parliament.
Phillips’ motion was tabled on Tuesday, a week after Warmington made the comment in reference to MP Lisa Hanna.
In a statement on Wednesday, Phillips said he wants Parliamentarians to discuss methods of achieving the highest standard of representation for their constituents.
He was responding to objections raised by Opposition member Delroy Chuck to the tabling of the motion.
