A solution has been found to the problem of inadequate classroom spaces at Spanish Town High School in St. Catherine.
Ronald Thwaites, Minister of Education, visited the school on Monday, along with officials of Region Six, to get a first-hand view of how students were being inconvenienced due to the lack of space.
Following a tour of the compound and its environs, Mr Thwaites disclosed that a solution been found for the situation. He said the premises next door to the school, called the Barracks, will be made available to the school. He said he will have discussions and negotiate with the relevant body to have the building available to the school.
Mr. Thwaites is hoping that the school will establish a sixth form programme next year.
